~ I'm a stay-at-home mom living by the salty sea in Midcoast Maine with my husband and our two "punky" daughters.
~ I AM SMITTEN WITH: reading and writing YA fantasy fiction; upcycling wool sweaters (especially pure cashmere); DIY projects; pinning on Pinterest; collecting Anthropologie, and vintage Vera scarves; taking walks along our beach; art and crafting with my daughters; perusing thrift stores; and decorating my home with mod and vintage treasures. ~ My husband is a wordsmith extraordinaire, and very much a Moominpapa. Our firstborn’s middle name is after a Rowan tree that grows in Ireland.

House of Rowan adores these woods-lovin’ studs and beach marauders. Gorgeous art dolls, creations of Mimi Kirchner. She uses toile fabric for the tattoos - inventive!

Professor Fox

This little guy is the creation of doll artist Mimi Kirchner. I love his teal-colored jacket, and would you believe, his waistcoat is done in a pattern of butterflies. What a foxy woodland friend he could be for my girls!

Mimi says on her blog: “I believe he is studying entomology.”
