House of Rowan cashmere baby blankets, upcycled from pure cashmere sweaters and made on the Coast of Maine…
My latest upcycled cashmere baby blanket with goat appliques. The little baby goats are ready to play! - from House of Rowan
This cuddled up little fox is my latest needle felted applique design for House of Rowan’s upcycled cashmere baby blankets. He shares his resting place with a three dotted mushrooms - all woodland loveliness.
We’re so thrilled: our six-year-old daughter modeled for the cover (and back cover) of this new book all about fairy houses in Maine. We’re all so proud of her; and we love the book! Fairy House Handbook, written by Liza Gardner Walsh, with photography by Amy Whilton.
I make these Eco-friendly woodland Owl & Acorn Upcycled Cashmere Baby Blankets, and I feature them on Etsy: House of Rowan. Pure cashmere wool is luxuriously soft — it is a real wonder of the world: a wink and nod to all you cashmere goats roaming the glades, and turlochs, and mountains and hills out there — thank you fellas for your glorious wool!

The Needle-Felted Hedgehog Cashmere Blanket:

Bunny Rabbit & Berries Cashmere Baby blanket. Easter is coming.

This little guy is the creation of doll artist Mimi Kirchner. I love his teal-colored jacket, and would you believe, his waistcoat is done in a pattern of butterflies. What a foxy woodland friend he could be for my girls!
Mimi says on her blog: “I believe he is studying entomology.”
